    Hi,

Error code = 0x490 - No OS found on the disk

Can you get to a Command Prompt?

    Run: Drive:\boot\Bootsect.exe /NT60 All

or, Try booting with the disk.

Do not install, go to Command Prompt

    Type:  fdisk/mbr

    This will repair MBR

    Another solution -

    Boot configuration is corrupt.

If the above did not help : (Be sure to check the cabling and power leads to the drive.)

Use the Advanced Methods, the Manufacturer's Diagnostic Utilities, and even the Trial Versions to thoroughly check the hard drive integrity.

Inside Windows - Regular or Safe Mode (repeatedly tap F8 as you boot).

Run checkdisk - schedule it to run at next start and then Apply OK your way out then restart.

physical disks cheap since you already own Windows.
