2013-11-04T19:41:41+00:00 Hi,
- What is the make and model of the computer?
Yes, Windows 8.1 introduces DirectX 11.2, which brings a host of new features to improve performance in your games and graphics apps.
To get this, you may have to download the latest graphics card drivers from the graphics manufacturer or computer manufacturer website.
Here's a article from Nvidia regarding DirectX11.2 to Windows 8.1.

If you're using a Nvidia graphics card, then download the latest drivers from Nvidia drivers website and check. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Let us know if this helps. If you're using a different graphics card, then please do reply with the make and model number.
