Pop up messages on start up: RegSvr32, The module "C:\program" failed to load.

Original title: How Do I Fix RegSvr32 So Message Stops Popping Up?

Can anyone help me make sense of an error box I get pop up every time I have restarted my laptop? It pops up a good few minutes into turning my laptop on, but before I've opened any programs personally, and reads as follows:

RegSvr32

The module "C:\program" failed to load.

Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or independent .DLL files.

The specified module could not be found.

As far as I can tell, everything on my laptop is running fine. As far as possible causes go... The only thing I could possibly associate it with, would be my uninstallation of a program that kept installing things on my laptop without my knowing. I believe it was technology by Applian.

I have the latest updates by VAIO (My laptop make), and Windows installed. Any help with this, and a suggestion on how to stop it happening would be great.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Where there any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?

Perform the following methods and check:

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

Please check if the issue persists in the Safe Mode. Refer to the link provided below for more information on safe mode:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2:

I would recommend you to place the computer in clean boot and check if the error message still appears.

**Note:**After troubleshooting, make sure to put the computer to start as usual as mentioned in Step 7 in the above KB article.

If the issue doesn’t persists when the Computer is in clean boot, then the issue is confirmed to be caused by a certain non-Microsoft applications.

    Method 2:

If that doesn't work, try doing a System Scan. The scan will look for bad system files and will attempt to repair them, if possible.

            a) Click the Start Button.

            b) Type: cmd.exe in the search results.

            c) Right-click the cmd.exe file and select 'Run as Administrator'.

            d) In the CMD window, type: sfc /scannow and hit the Enter key.

            e) Reboot and see if that resolves the issue.

I've been having this same problem for two months or so. I tried method 2 you described and it did not fix the problem. I'm getting four of these pop-ups at start up.
