Original Title: color scheme

With Windows 7, I could change the color of the selected and highlighted items and the search bar.  How can I do that in Windows 8?  I hate the blue.

Thank you.  This changes the colors of my background, but not the colors of the highlight and select items text.  How do I change that?  It used to in the advanced settings of personalization on Windows 7, but I don't see it on Windows 8.

As far as I know, these settings are a little changed in Windows 8. I found this that has the explanation.

    Hello,

You can personalise your colouring scheme by following this:

Go to PC Settings (Press Windows Key + I, click Change PC Settings). Now in the left pane, select the Personalize section, switch to Start Screen, then you can see a color bar, from which you can pick your favorite color and the scheme will be applied accordingly.

Hope this helps, Good luck :)
