Which of the Windows 8 Performance Info and Tools packs ( %Root%\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_Microsoft-windows-performancetool??? ) can be installed in Windows 8.1 to restore the experience rating.  A lot of folks use this feature for evaluating various mainboard/CPU/memory combinations.

    Please advise.  MBarclay

    Hi Leon,

The "Performance and Information" tool which was introduced in Windows Vista is no longer a part of Windows 8.1. Microsoft has removed this feature from Windows 8.1.

While its been removed from win 8.1 there is a third party software that does a pretty good job of duplicating it.

Yup, that, certainly, does the trick for anyone who wants it.  Good bit of info, Mike.

    Cheers,
