Starting up my computer today it immediately took me a screen saying that it failed to start up. I've tried running repairs on it to no avail. After looking into it a bit it seems that the "boot critical file d:\windows\system32\drivers\vdrvroot.sys is corrupt" was the issue. How should i go about dealing with this?

    Hi Dakota,

I would suggest you to perform start up repair and check. It would repair all the boot files on the computer. Refer to the article to know how to go to recovery options.

Now perform start up repair and check.

If these steps do not work, then I would suggest you to repair the boot files using bootrec.exe tool and check.
