    Hi,

    1. Are you trying to copy any contents from a DVD to another DVD?
    2. What type of contents are you trying to copy?
    3. What type of blank discs are you using to copy the contents?

If you are trying to copy music, pictures, and videos from a CD or DVD to another blank discs, then you may use Windows Media Player on Windows 8.

You need to first copy the contents on the CD or DVD to the computer and then copy to a blank disc.

When you copy music, pictures, and videos from a CD or DVD to your PC, it's called "ripping” and copying music, pictures, and videos from your PC to a blank CD or DVD, is called "burning."  You can use Windows Media Player in Windows 8 to do both.

For further information, refer to the articles:

    ====================================

A very easy method for copying home made CDs /

DVDs is to create an ISO image of the existing CD /

DVD and then burn the ISO image on as many copies

    as you require.

    First...just a suggestion...using a slow burn speed

    produces a more reliable copy......

The freeware ImgBurn can create an ISO Image

that can be used to burn copies. Once you have the

image created...you can use it to burn as many copies

    as you need.

(FWIW...it's always a good idea to create a System

Restore point before installing software or updates)

Ignore most of the download buttons and left click the

green circle with the white arrow...it says.....

    ImgBurn Download:

(The file to download is : SetupImgBurn_2.5.8.0.exe)

    (Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8)

(During the install you may want to select Custom

Installation...this will allow you to disable add-ons

if you do not wish to install them)

That is why I included the following paragraph in

    my previous message:

(During the install you may want to select Custom

Installation...this will allow you to disable add-ons

if you do not wish to install them)

If you created the System Restore point as I suggested

you can revert to the way your system was before

    the install.
