Bushnell IGolf neo GPS

Upgrading to Windows 8 eliminated a recognized driver for the Bushnell iGolf GPS unit which is required to communicate with the device in order to load various golf courses into the unit.  Contacting Bushnell resulted in the company wanting me to purchase a new unit.  Unit was over $100 to purchase a couple years ago.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Regards,

Jim White

found a work for windows 8.1, what I finally found was to uninstall your latest version of java and then download java SE 6.19 from a trusted site. I forgot which one I downloaded it from. Put your cd in and run compatibility mode for windows xp sp3 and install.

Find your Neo courses on your computer and put them in your 'documents' folder, then change the 'lookup' location, from neo program settings to your documents containing the courses.

    Works for me.

Linny, thanks for your help in this matter but compatibility mode did not work and neither did windows 7 driver.  The neo software loads up but when I connect the device via usb it does not recognize that it is there.  An interesting note thought is when I connect it to the computer it computer itself gives me a audio signal indicating a device is connected, but will not give a visual indication the device is actually connected.

Regarding Hyper-V I am not sure I want to get that involved.  I do have windows 8 pro.

    Regards,

If there are no Windows 8 drivers available, have you tried installing the Windows 7 driver and software?
