I have been getting the above error in my system event log since 8.1 upgrade. I found it after mail stopped syncing on the w/e of October 25th and bing apps stopped working...

    hi,

I'm not connected to a domain

I'm not running any VM software

    Direct access to Internet

The mail sync has to be done manually and takes a long time to complete.

I tried the troubleshooting suggestions and they did not help.

    Hi,

Just a few questions first, to get a clear picture of the issue:

    a)      Are you connected to a domain?

    b)      Are you receiving this error while trying to run any virtual machine software?

    c)       Are using client/server or spoke style network topology to connect different brokers together?

    d)      How often your mail app stops synching?

I would suggest you to run the Internet connections troubleshooter that can automatically detect and fix most of the incorrect settings and errors. Refer to these steps to run this troubleshooter:

    a)      Press Windows key +F to bring up the search Charms bar.

    b)      Select settings in the drop down menu below search and type Troubleshooting.

    c)       Click on Troubleshootingand select the view all option on the left pane.

    d)      Click on Internet Connections troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

    e)      Follow the same steps to run the Incoming connections troubleshooter.

Try these steps and let us know the results. We’d be happy to help if you need any further assistance.
