Hi,

I have recently installed Win 7 Ultimate on my PC. While installing the Realtek Audio driver error occurred (As I understand that it will install the default audio driver). Is there any way I can install them because the default driver has no customization or equalizer.

You obtain the drivers from your PC maker, in the case of a branded PC or laptop, if a generic desktop, from the motherboard maker.

And if your PC previously had an earlier version of win installed and you 'upgraded to win7' it maybe that win7 is not supported on that PC

    Hello Arijit,

    1. What is the make and model of the computer?
    2. What is the status of sound device in device manager?

To check status of sound device follow steps below:

->Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

->Click System and Maintenance, click System, and then clickDevice Manager.

Note If Control Panel is in Classic View, double-clickSystem, and then click Device Manager.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or clickAllow.

-> In Device Manager, double click to expand "Sound device", right click on sound device, click "Uninstall" and click "OK".

Check if at all there is an exclamation mark along the driver, it suggests issues with the driver installed.

Incase the drivers does not get installed. You may have to update from manufacturers website.

    Also refer to link below:

Please post back the results. So as to further assist you.

Well unless the PC maker or motherboard maker supplies the drivers (Realtek drivers are usually part of the motherboard chipset driver) you are not going to have all the funtions        .

What is the make/model PC, or motherboard if a generic desktop
