Hello,

I want to ask a question about Wireless Mobile Mouse 1000 pairing.

As my mouse still work but my nano receiver lost, my friend gives me his nano receiver due to the fact that his mouse broke already.

How can I pair them in my computer?

Thank you.

How can I pair them in my computer?

    You can't.

Most of Microsoft's newer wireless mouse products do not support user "pairing."  I believe that the Mobile Mouse 1000 is one of these.  Confirm by looking at the pictures in the article linked under "Method 2" in Smittychat's post: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/838398

If your mouse and transceiver do not have the "connect channel" buttons, you can't pair them.

For these products, the mouse and the nano transceiver are matched at the factory.  If the transceiver is lost or broken, the mouse can not be made to work.

it's sad that MS does not allowed pairing with new dongle. I had ton of MS mouse without dongle here, I plan to trash them and will never buy them again, ever.

    HI,

Do you see a light come on on the bottom of the mouse when you turn it on?  If not, you installed the battery backwards, you have a bad battery, or the mouse has a hardware failure.

    1. Did you try connecting the Mouse to a different Computer and check if it works?
    2. Was it working earlier?

Method 1: This problem is likely to be a lost connection. The connection between the mouse and the USB nano-receiver can be lost due to several reasons, including:

    1. Low batteries.
    2. Moving the USB nano-receiver from one USB port to another.
    3. Moving the USB nano-receiver to another computer.
    4. Plugging the USB nano-receiver into a USB hub or other unsupported device such as a KVM switch (your USB nano-receiver must be plugged directly into your computer)
    5. Using your cordless mouse on metal surfaces.
    6. Radio frequency (RF) interference of more powerful wireless devices such as:
      1. Wireless speakers
      2. Computer power supplies
      3. Monitors
      4. Cellular telephones
      5. Garage door openers

Eliminate any problem sources mentioned above that might be affecting your devices.

Method 2: Follow the instructions on the below link to fix Wireless mouse issues:
