I also get this message but is written 0x800CCCDE.

I am using AOL on Windows 8

After "send/receive all" I get the message "cannot sync AOL"

I do the repair routine in Outlook File, and it checks out OK.

    What next??

This indicate that your Outgoing server is incorrect  and you need toEnter the correct settings according your ISP provider.

If you are using Outlook Express try this or tell us what Web Client you are using.

For example try to click  Tools >> Accounts >> Select the account and click Properties.

Click on Server Tab and make sure these settings correct:

My Incoming Mail server is a [ Pop3 ] server.

    Incoming mail [pop3.mymail.co.uk    ]

    Outgoing Mail [SMTP]: [smtp.mymail.co.uk ]

    Incoming Mail Server

    Account: [ myMail ]

    Password: [PasswordHashedhere  ]

       [v] Remember password

[ ] Log on   <- uncheck this check box

    Outgoing Mail Server

     [V] My server requ auth

    Click [Apply ]

Click on Advance and make sure  ther Outgoing Mail set correct:

    Outgoing Mail [SMTP] [25 ]

[V] This server requires a secure connection [SSL]

Incoming Mail [IMAP?]: [993] ,- Your ISP should provide with the correct Port number

[v] This server requires a secure connection [SSL]

Tell us your Mail provider beside your Mail client (outlook or Outlook Ex, Thunder...etc)
