* Original Title: Cisco Systems

I have three programs installed in my computer that I did not install. They are Cisco EAP-FAST Module, Cisco LEAP Module, and Cisco PEAP Module, they installed at some point and I was not aware that they installed should I delete these and what program or application may they be using. I am not aware of anything that I need them for. Should I uninstall them? Internet articles say that Cisco Systems, Inc is a union between them and MS, I want to uninstall all three what may stop working?

    Hi Calvin,

    1.      Have you ever connected to a domain network?

    2.      Have you used CISCO products earlier?

    3.      Were there any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?

    Cisco EAP-FAST Module is an Authentication via Secure Tunneling (EAP-FAST), an EAP type from Cisco Systems. Extensible Authentication Protocol-Flexible Authentication via Secure Tunneling (EAP-FAST) is a publicly accessible IEEE 802.1X EAP type developed by Cisco Systems. EAP-FAST provides protection from a variety of network attacks.

    If you haven’t used any CISCO products and not connected to a domain network, you may go ahead and delete them.

    Please follow these steps to delete these programs:

    1.      Press Windows Key + W, type uninstall a program.

    2.      Tap or click Uninstall a program.

    3.      Find the programs Cisco EAP-FAST Module, Cisco LEAP Module, and Cisco PEAP Module.

    4.      Right click on each program and click on Uninstall.

    5.      Restart the computer and check if they have completely removed.

    To ensure your computer is free from virus and spyware, you may run an online scan.

    Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

    Hope this information helps. If you have any concerns, please let us know.

    The following 3 piece of software were installed on the same day as this CISCO stuff:

    MS Visual C++ 2008 redist

    REALTEK USB Wireless Lan Utility with Drivers

    cFosspeed v10.22

    I pretty much suspect the Realtek Wireless sticks software/driver package to be the perpetrator . I have not noticed any detrimental effects.

     I never made this statement of question Calvin D. Ostrom I do not know where it came from I only in my last question asked about windows media player and the minimize maximize problem?? Signed BILL GATES.

    I did ask about cisco programs in my computer I had a little to much wine to drink when I received the last e-mail I removed all three modules and have had no problem with any program, I have never been on a domain network and not sure but do no believe I have any cisco hardware or programs in my computer. Thank you have a nice day.

    G'Day,

               You most likely purchased an ASUS Machine, please let me know if I am wrong.

      Cisco is part of the ASUS software system.

      IT IS NOT A VIRUS, SPAM OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT. JUST LEAVE IT ALONE AS IT HELPS YOUR MACHINE WITH THE QUICK START UP.

    Best Wishes,

    Cookey Down Under.
