Hi all,
I have a trouble with my Windows 10 Pro 20H2 laptop.
I installed, Hyper-V on my laptop just to do a quick test with a Virtual Machine.
After this job I removed Hyper-V from Control Panel and it is totally uninstalled (see picture below)

I noted that different Network Adapter about Hyper-V persist on my laptop!! (se picture below)

I can not remove/uninstall this adapter from Control Panel, but I can do it from Device Management.
I tried to remove from Device Management two times, but after reboot these Hyper-V Network Adaptes appear again!

I tried also with:

  • From Regedit "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces", I deleted all keys about network adapter but after reboot they appear again
  • Network Windows 10 reset (without success)

Have you got any ideas to solve my issue?

    Hi,

Let's check whether HV host service is still running in windows service manager.

I have tested in my lab, before removing Hyper-V:

After removing Hyper-V, Hyper-V Virtual Ethernet Adapters were all gone:

If HV host service is running, please disable it and check again.

    Best Regards,
    Candy

    Dear @Anonymous
Thanks for your answare and suggestion!

I have found service "HV Host Service" set as "Manual" and running!
I disabled, stopped it and restarted my laptop.

After reboot Hyper-V NICs are disabled!

I do not understand why when I removed Hyper-V from Control Panel these services persists on my laptop.

If you got "Windows Subsystem for Linux" installed, or you have "Windows Sandbox" installed, this could be the cause.

Either of this feature, may create "vEthernet" adapters for every of your adapter.
