Hi,

I am trying to connect to my university licence server. I am using 'Cisco Anyconnect VPN ', but when it is goinh to initiate the connection it gives me the error 'VPN client unable to establish a conection'. At that moment the network adaptor of my Cisco anyconnect gets disable automatically.

I have no antivirus and also it happens even when I turn off my firewall.

Please help me to fix this problem which is stopping me from my whole work!

Thank you in advance.

In addition to John's advice I would also look at this document from Cisco for possible help...

    More possible Cisco help...

Its also possible you may need to run or reinstall the Cisco client in compatability mode if they don't have a Windows 7 version.

Otherwise contacting your university network administrators may also be a viable option.

    Hi,

Your Windows 7 question is more complex than what is typically answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro audience on TechNet. Please post your question in Windows 7 IT Pro Networking Technet Forums.

    Hope this helps.

So this really is what happened. I disabled sharing on that connection and it works. Now I just have to alternate between turning it off for PHP programming and their vpn and on for VMware and their vpn...

One of the reasons why this could happen is the ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) might be enabled on your LAN (Right Click on Local Area Connection -> Properties -> Sharing [tab])

I'm not sure if this solution works for you, but it's worth a try. If you've already figured it out this might be useful for someone who comes across this thread.
