Help -

I'm a total novice here but have got so far. My dell all in one inspiron one 2205 died on me - told that the motherboard had gone. It was running on windows 7. I've now bought an acer desktop running on windows 8.

I've removed the hard drive from the dell and popped it without touching the board at all into a 3.5 enclosure and plugged it all in to my new acer tower. But nothing is showing up.

I googled and found to press windows button and E - done that found D data and showing up as empty. Having major panic attack as think I've lost all my files.

Can anyone help and talk to me like a child as I don't speak techie!

Thanks
