g2mcomm.exe-Corrupt File error message

In the lower right hand corner of the screen are the icons for systems checks and alerts.

Within that area there keeps appearing the following error:

"[Warning Icon] g2mcomm.exe-Corrupt File  The file or directory \users[userid]\AppData\Local\Temp\Citrix\gotometting\1133\log3c82.tmp\GoToMeeting_00.log is corrupt and unreadable.  Please run chkdsk utility.

Question:  Is this a virus as some sites online suggest?

Do I really need to run ChkDsk utility?  or is this a malware initialization of some kind?

And how do I get rid of it?  I have Kaspersky installed and it does not show any identified issues.

Thank you,

David

    David.

g2mcomm.exe is a component of Citrix GoToMeeting application. It seem from your post that, some of the applications files are corrupt.

Running chkdsk as already suggested to verify that there are no corrupt sectors on your hard disk, is a good idea.

Important: While performing Chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when Chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.

Hope this helps. Otherwise, reply to this response and we will be happy to help you again.
