Print to PDF?

I recently bought a new computer with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. On my old computer with Windows XP Pro, I was able to print to PDF as one of my printer options. I have Adobe Acrobat 7 and the latest version of Adobe Reader installed on the new computer, as I did on the old computer.  But no option to print to PDF appears under my printer options, and I don't know if it's possible to do so.  If it is, I don't know how to add the "printer" so that I can print to PDF.  I've searched this forum using keywords but didn't find any questions/responses for this issue.  I have also looked elsewhere on the internet for answers, but before I go for third party software I'd prefer to find out if there's a better solution.  Thanks!

Dang, The Adobe option is not there in Instruction #4.  Now what?  Ugh!

If you only have Acrobat reader and not the full Acrobat software then you do not have the printer option, then try CutePDF, a freeware, no advert software.

If you have the full Adobe Acrobat then it should be there in the printer options.

If you do have the full Acrobat suite and it is not showing as a printer option then something is wrong with your program installation as it should install automatically in the printer options list.

How about one of the free .PDF "Printers", such as **CutePDF**?

I know how to do that, and I am able to do so.  I don't want to create a document from the scanner, however.  I want to be able, for example, to find something on the internet, and instead of printing it out on paper, save it as a PDF document via the print function, as I used to be able to do in XP.  I believe what you are suggesting isn't what I'm looking for, though I do have that capability.  In the past, in XP, I had an option when I went to print something that would allow me to select Adobe PDF vs my printer, and it would print to a PDF file.  This is what I'm looking to do, but the option does not currently exist in my Printers options.

Reinstall Acrobat (full version) 7 and ensure you have the PDF Writer part installed.  Then open Acrobat, select File, Create PDF, From Scanner.
