How are we doing with this? Looks like it's not just me with this issue.
Multiple monitor background stops spanning
Using two monitors, I love the Desktop Background span picture position, shuffling through all these great panoramic images.
Unfortunately it stops spanning after a while on the second smaller monitor, which is to my right: instead, it duplicates the left-hand span. This only rights itself after a full reboot.
e.g. representing the panoramic image as "12345" - the spanned image on my two monitors:
[ ] [ ]
should look like:
[123] [45]
but instead it looks like:
[123] [12]
It's a feature I am keen to keep using, so any suggestions/fixes are welcome.
Spec:
OS: WIn 8.1
CPU: Intel Core i3-4340 3.6GHz
RAM: 8Gb
MB: Gigabyte H87-HD3 using on-board graphics
Monitors: Samsung P2450 & 943T

2014-03-07T13:39:46+00:00 Hi Pinaki,
It's just started doing it again. It appears to happen after a day or two without reboots, just putting Windows into sleep mode.
Any chance of an update?

2014-04-05T09:27:03+00:00 Hi,
I would suggest you to uninstall the Onboard display card from Device Manager and then uninstall the display card driver.
Follow the steps:
- Press Windows+X keys and select Device Manager.
- Locate the on-board display card and right click on it. Select Uninstall.
- Restart the computer. Click on Scan for hardware changes on the top of the window. Windows will install the integrated card drivers. Now, right click on the dedicated display card's driver and select Uninstall.
- Refer to the link to download the Intel VGA driver for Windows 8.1 and then install it on the computer.

2014-03-09T01:54:15+00:00 Hi,
As the issue has occured recently, I would suggest you to restore the computer to a point prior to this issue.
Refer to the link to perform System restore:
Refer to the section” Restore your PC to an earlier point in time”.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc
Note: For System Restore: System Restore doesn’t change your personal files, but it might remove recently installed apps and drivers.
For further troubleshooting, as suggested earlier, you would need to make sure that the current version of the display driver installed on the computer is the latest one and compatible with Windows 8.1. To ensure this, you can refer to the manufacturer's website of the display card or the computer. For further information on how to update the drivers, refer to the link. It would also be better to let us know about the make and model of the display card if you are unable to find the required drivers.
Please let us know about the results.
