Hello.

I have a problem connecting to my internet. Whenever i troubleshoot to see what's wrong it says my Ethernet cable is not connected. But it is. I accidentally uninstalled my Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol and that's why it won't let me connect. Now i have a download link for it, but i can't download it without internet connection on my other computer. Someone please help me, i need to know how to connect to the internet. If the Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Protocol is not the problem, i don't know what is. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

    Hi Aaron,

This issue is usually caused due to not having updated drivers. As you have already mentioned that you removed the driver accidently, this might be the cause of the issue. I would like to know some information about this issue so that we could assist you further.

    1. What is the make and model number of the computer?
    2. Do you get any error code or error message?

I would suggest you to try the following methods and check if it works for you.

    Method 1:

Try downloading the Network Adapter and Chipset drivers from the computer manufacturer website  from a different computer and then try installing it on your computer and check if the issue persists.

    Method 2:

Try the steps provided in the following Microsoft Help article and check if it helps.

Why can't I connect to the Internet?

I have the same problems you have on my computer.  I uninstalled/installed the adapter and still it wont show up on the taskbar (right corner of the screen).  I tried ipconfig/renew/release on the command mode and still won't work. What I did was unchecked the IPV6 on the network properties and it solved the problem.  Just try using the IPV4 protocol and I think you will be alright.

    Hi Aron,

Thank you for replying with the status of the issue.

You have to copy the driver setup file and paste it on a flash drive or on an external drive and then connect the drive to the computer in which you are facing issue with. Once after connecting the drive, copy the files and paste in on the computer in which you have issues with and install it on the computer.

Please reply with the status of the issue so that we can help you fix the issue.
