    Hello,

Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Community Forum.

I would like to know some information about the issue so that we could assist you further.

    1. What is the make and model number of the computer?
    2. Did you make any software or hardware changes prior to the issue?

I would suggest you to try the following steps:

    Method 1:

Try updating the drivers from the manufacturer website.

    AMD Graphics Drivers and Software

    http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

Method 2: If the issue does not resolve try to uninstall and reinstall display drivers.

Try to uninstall the graphic card drivers and then reinstall it.

    1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, and then, under System, clicking Device Manager.‌ Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    2. Right-click the Display adaptor you want, and then click Uninstall. You can also double-click the device, and then on the Driver tab, click Uninstall.
    3. In the Confirm Device Removal page, select Delete the driver software for this deviceif you also want to remove the device driver package from the driver store. .

The Delete the driver software for this device option removes the package from the driver store. It does not remove the currently installed driver for any other operational devices that use the same driver. If you remove the driver from the store, and the device is connected to the computer again, Windows must search for a copy of the driver package in the standard search locations, including possibly prompting the user for media. This option is the equivalent of running the command: pnputil -d -f <package.inf>. For more information, see Remove a Driver Package from the Driver Store.

    1. Click OK to complete the uninstall process.
    2. When the uninstall process is complete, unplug the device from the computer.

If you are prompted to restart the computer, the removal is not completed and the device might continue to function until the computer is restarted.

Now try to install the latest driver from manufacturer website or try to install windows update.

    Download and install drivers

Hope this information is helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to help.

    Thank you.

    Hello Hitesh,

Thank you for keeping us updated about the issue and sorry for delayed response.

If issue still persists I would suggest you to perform clean boot and then try to disable security software temporarily and check if it helps.

    Step 1

Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us

Note: Refer "How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting" to reset the computer to start as normal after troubleshooting.

    Step 2

I would suggest you to disable security software temporarily, on your computer and then try to install the drivers again and check if it helps.

NoteAntivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Hope this would help. If issue still persists post back with current status of your computer and result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to assist you.

    Thank you.
