Is there any benefit in using the Desktop Cleanup Wizard as this simply moves the shortcuts to another folder?

Nope, it just helps you remove clutter and old stuff you may not use anymore.  Basically a way to helpfully remove (but not delete) all the junk that PC makers pre-install.

The only benefit is a cleaner desktop, as the name implies :)

If this means that there is no benefit in using the Desktop Cleanup Wizard, than I guess that answers my question.
