Hi

Have just replaced XP with Windows 7 64 bit. My HP office pro printer ran fine on XP.

Downloaded HP software and when I go install as administrator I get load library error coded 193.

HP took control of my computer and could not install. When they tried turning off all devices to start in safe mode screen freezes. My local computer centre have checked the system and say it's an HP issue, when from what I can see is not.

    Hi Ray,

Its a driver issue with the printer. you have installed the driver for 32 bit. Please download the 64 Bit printer driver for windows 7 64bit HP office pro printer from HP website.

once you uninstall the previous and re install the new driver, the issue will be fixed.

Let me know it this helps you. Thanks

    Hi Ajit

Thank you for your reply. I am also on the HP forum support for this problem and am running 64 bit and downloaded their link for software for 64bit. Hp suggested using mscconfig to switch off startup programmes to reduce load but still getting same error 193

    Hi Ray,

The error can be caused by an incompatibility between a third-party program and the Operating System. This may happen when running 64-bit applications on a 32-bit system. A process in the system may be loading a DLL (Dynamic Library Link) file with a different bit structure. The error may also happen when a virus program makes changes to executable files in the system, resulting in an unrecognized format. Having an unnecessary data file named Program at the root of a hard drive may also cause the problem.

I would like to know some information about this issue so that we could assist you further.
