Original Title: NVIDIA

                                                              ------- Windows 8.1---------

                                            ========== Nvidia GT740m=========

Problem:- Having updates for the graphics driver but cant install 'cause whenever i open the "Ge Force experience" it says unable to connect , please try again later.

I read somewhere to re install the geforce experience after uninstalling the original one.

but i cant uninstall !  --- i open programs and features and then go to Ge force experience , right click, uninstall , but nothing happens after that.... although i am able to uninstall various other applications from my PC but this.

I do not want to remove files manually because there are lot of files of nvidia itself and don't want to get into trouble by deleting the one's which i shouldn't.

How to uninstall?

Thank you.

    Hello,

thank you for your detailed and quick reply.

what i did was , i just installed the latest geforce experience from nvidia i.e version 1.8.2.0

without deleting the original one and ran the installer. Now, when i right click on the geforce experience icon(<properties) it shows me the "date created" (...2013) and "date modified"(29 march 2014), which means i have updated the software.

Nvidia customer service is extremely bad! and even the community doesn't seem to help that much!

(just questions and questions! ... rarely find answers to them)

    Thank you very much!

    Hi Varun,

Which version GeForce Experience is presently installed on your computer?

As you are unable to un-install GeForce Experience software, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below.

    1. Press Windows key + X.

    3. Expand Display Adaptors.
    4. Right click on NVidia display card drivers and select Un-install.
    5. Note: After selecting un-install you will get the message dialog box – Confirm Device un-install. Make sure you put a check mark that says Delete the driver software for this device
    6. Click OK.
    7. Restart the computer, computer will load generic display drivers.
    8. Now go to Programs and features and check if GeForce Experience is listed under installed programs. If GeForce Experience is still listed, select it and click on Un-install and check.
