Error message "Windows Protected Your PC"

When trying to install a known safe program on my computer, I am getting the message, "Windows Protected Your PC". How can I get around this? I suspect it might have something to do with either Windows Firewall or AVG Internet Security, but maybe not. Any help will be appreciated.  Michael Boyd

    Hi Shameem,

This issue might occur due to corrupt or missing Bluetooth drivers. It could also happen if the Bluetooth support service is stopped or disabled.

Have you installed compatible Bluetooth driver software for Windows 8.1 from Dell website?

I would suggest you to check in the device manager if the Bluetooth driver is working properly or not.

    a. On the desktop, press Windows Key + R and typedevmgmt.msc in the Run Dialog box and press Enter.

    b. In the Device Manager window, expandBluetooth.

    c. Right-click on the Adapter and selectProperties.

    d. In the General tab, under Device Status, check if the device is working properly.

    e. You may also check if there is any error message or yellow exclamation mark.

Please follow the methods mentioned below.

    Method 1:

I would suggest you to check if Bluetooth Service is started and set to automatic.

    a. On the desktop, press Windows key + R to open theRun Dialog.

    b. Type Services.msc and press Enter.

    c. Check if the Bluetooth Support Service isstarted and set to Automatic.

    d. If not, right-click on Bluetooth Support Service and selectProperties.

    e. From the drop-down, select Automatic and click onStart.

    Method 2:

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned under sections:**Make sure Bluetooth is on**and**Make sure Bluetooth enabled devices and other wireless devices are on and discoverable**from the following link.

    Method 3:

If the issue still persist, I would suggest you to go to Dell website and install the latest version of Bluetooth driver software for your computer.

Please let us know if the issue persists. We will be happy to assist you further.
