After doing a "Clean Boot" and then starting a reset, how do I enable Startup aps in System Configuration when "ENable " button is dim?

I just ran a "Clean Boot" on Windows 8.  Now I am attempting to reset my computer but when I go to msconfig - System Configuration - Services - the box beside "HIde all Microsoft Services" is no longer checked and only the "Disabled" button is available, the "Enable" button is dim.  According to the directions on support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 just the opposite should be showing and I should uncheck the "Hide" box and "Enable" all the aps.  What can I do to enable the aps and finish the reset properly.

Hi,

Are you trying to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting?

If so then I would like to inform you that once you select Normal startup under startup selection all the services and startup items will automatically be enabled. You just need to restart the computer to start the computer normally.

Please reply us on the status of the issue to assist you further.

    Thanks!!!

Duh...that explains why the Services window only gave the option to "Disable" - I thought I had to go through and undo the steps I had gone through to set up the "Boot".

    This solves my problem!!!

Yes, when I reopen the "System Configuration" window, I change the  General tab to "Normal" and then go to the Services tab -  I am sending you a screen image of what I find.

How do I Enable the ones that I disabled during the "Clean Boot"?

    Hi,

Did you use the Normal startup option when you are resetting it to Normal mode?

Also can you please send a screenshot of the option when you are trying to reset the computer back to normal settings.
