C;\Users\derek\AppData\Roaming\newnext.me\nengine.dll module could not be found

On restarting my laptop (OS Windows 8.1) the following error message appears.

"There was a problem starting

C:\Users\derek\AppData\Roaming\newnext.me\nengine.dll

The specified module could not be found"

Is this significant and how might I find and reintroduce this module?

Can anyone help? Thank you

    Hi Derek

The newnext.me\nenengine.dll is not something that you want to reintroduce onto your system.

This is part of a known malicious spyware/adware component. The files were probably removed by your antivirus software.

It sounds like the antivirus software left a setting that starts this software automatically and hence you see the error message that it cannot be found.

Go to the Desktop, right click the Taskbar and select Task Manager.

    Click the Startup Tab.

Look for an entry that refers to the newnext.me\nengine.dll path.

Right click that entry and select the Disable option.

    Restart the computer to test.

    Let us know the results.

    Regards

Many thanks for your assistance this has completely solved my problem. I am most grateful
