I think I may have a solution to the problem. I was having the same issue with not being able to login to Microsoft Live inside Dawn of War 2. I changed my password and then I had the issue when trying to login to my Xbox 360 account. After getting a hint from the error message from Xbox live, I logged in to my Microsoft account on my web browser and disabled the 2 step verification thing that Microsoft tried to get everyone to sign up for automatically. Once I did this, not only was I able to login to my Xbox live account again, but I was also was able to login through Dawn of War 2. I think that since Dawn of War 2 has such a straight forward way of allowing logins, it may not take into account the 2 step verification and automatically deny access since it is required. Hopefully this info helps.

2010-06-04T11:27:14+00:00 Hi inchiesun,
Do you remember making any software or hardware changes after which the issue started?
Try the steps below and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Part A:
Open the following ports in the firewall that you are using and check if it helps.
>> TCP 80 >> UDP 88 >> UDP 3074 >> TCP 3074 >> UDP 53 >> TCP 53
If you are using Windows Firewall then have a look at the following article link:
**Open a port in Windows Firewall**
Part B:
Allow the game to communicate through firewall that you are using.
If you are using Windows Firewall then have a look at the following article link:
**Allow a program to communicate through Windows Firewall**
Step 2:
- Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
- Type the following command, and then press ENTER
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
- Restart the computer.
- Start the game and try to login to live and check.
Step 3:
Place the computer in a clean boot state and troubleshoot the issue.
**How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7** (Step 1: Perform a clean boot)
If your issue is resolved after performing Clean Boot, then follow the steps mentioned in the following KB article to narrow down the exact source:**http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135**
Also, see the section on how return your computer to a Normal startup mode by following the steps under “Reset the computer to start as usual”, after performing the clean boot troubleshooting.
