How do i connect my wireless dre beats on my laptop with windows 8??

I go to add a device and or search for them and for some reason i cant connect.

*** it has however found a Bluetooth headset but then said i timed out???

    surface pro 2, windows 8.1, tried the article (basically the bluetooth part says make sure device is on and discoverable.)  I can connect with phone and ipad, so yeah, it works.

    how do I make beats work with my surface other than hooking up the cable?

    Connecting Powerbeats3 to Windows 10

    1. Make sure your beats are off.....
    2. As you Turn them on, hold down the button until you see you the white light dimming/blinking slowly... That means its ready to be paired to whatever device.....ie your pc....
    3. Go to Window settings in your PC > Device > Bluetooth and Other Devices >.....Turn on your Bluetoothand select "Add Bluetooth and Other Devices"......
    4. Once your PC discovers an "Audio Device", click on it.
    5. After its paired, it should appear as "Powerbeats3" under Audio Devices.

    I hope this helps everyone out.
