Are there any human beings that actually work for Microsoft anymore?!? Is the entire company one big retarded automated system programmed to run you in circles until you just give up?! I have spent close to A YEAR trying to regain access to an email account I had to setup on a whim to make the even stupider annoying iCloud message stop asking me to register every time I did anything! Now I want to remove this account from my iPod so I can give it to my nephew and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get ANY help from Microsoft!!! All I want is the password I originally chose for the account but lost over time since I never used it. Of course I try to make my passwords easy to remember but you now have to include your weight on the Moon in kilograms in it to make it "authentic" enough to work, and thus extremely easy to forget! I am done with Microsoft!! THE END!! I'll be only using Android supported devices in the future. They can flush Microsoft down the toilet for all I care!!
Sending an email to Microsoft Support is impossible
Look at the rigmarole I've had to do just to send this email.
You sent my alternate email with "no reply". That's just rude.
If I sent you an email, you can reply to me. WHY CAN'T I REPLY TO YOU??? I have to go through this ridiculous process where you ask for my postcode, my security settings.
After that, I have to key in ten weird looking typefaces I could hardly read.
It didn't work.
You insist on sending my security options to another email which doesn't exist. I probably won't even be able to sign in to read this but am just emailing on a point of principle.
My UK online email address (where you've sent all the security updates) is ten years out of date but you won't give me another option in the drag down function.
How do I get back into my email address?
Please send me a specific email to which I can respond. NOT this ridiculously complex system which makes it impossible to get through to a human being.

2014-05-16T15:29:47+00:00 Hi Shawn,
I was looking for an email address to email Microsoft. The support url just asked me to sign in and raises the security problems I experienced first time round.
Thanks,
John

2016-01-31T19:12:29+00:00 Hmmm. I see what you're saying. The "mushroom" treatment, be kept in the dark and fed sh!t. You do know that Microsoft founder, Bill Gates started the company with Stolen software! Yes, Bill needed an operating system so he took the operating system that Gary Killdol had written. Killdol had his own computer company called Digital Research.

2016-01-27T15:15:23+00:00 But that link doesn't work for my needs. I bought an xbox for my nephew in Colorado as a Christmas present, having sign in problems. Last year I bought a play station 4 for another nephew in Kansas. Didn't have a single problem with that. Clearly we see which is the better game console. Xbox, like Microsoft is junk. I don't even have Microsoft winbloze on my pc, I use Ubuntu.

I'm a complete newbie here, but I think that I understand EXACTLY what you are talking about, and what you need help with.
My best friend is having the exact same issue. He had a Hotmail address 10 years ago that he never used in the past 10 years because he disliked and left the Microsoft eco-system. His alternate contact email on that old Hotmail account was another email account that he hasn't used in the past many years, and that one doesn't even exist anymore. And his alternate contact phone number or that old Hotmail account was a phone number he hasn't had in many many years
either. So there is no way for MS to contact him using any of his 10 years old contact information. Then the additional problem is that he can't set up a new MS email account, because he gets an automated reply that he already has one, and that he needs to login there and create an alias or a linked account.
My friend has some long-standing animosity to MS products, and he would still have no reason to use that old Hotmail account except for the fact that he happened to win a free Windows 1520 phone while he was in a Windows store accompanying me during a promotion!
In any case, here are two ideas that may be useful to you.
This first link below goes to access a live chat that goes directly to a real person knowledgeable about login issues to a Windows email account. I tried this link even when I was logged out, and it still works. Even though they cannot reset your password or answer any account-specific inquiries over chat, you are communicating with a knowledgeable real person in real time, and they have the ability to direct you to what you can do. They also have the ability to escalate your request for help, but I’m not sure if you need to be able to be logged in to some MS email account to do that.
The second idea is to try to set up a new MS account, because it seems that you must be able to sign in with a Microsoft account to contact support and create a support request. I read on this webpage http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-live/id-support
that "if you can't sign in with your Microsoft account, you can create a temporary account at https://signup.live.com ." I did not try that out myself. Notice that this https://signup.live.com webpage says: "You can use any email address as the user name for your new Microsoft
account, including addresses from Outlook.com, Yahoo! or Gmail." I would suggest setting up the new MS account with one of your currently functioning non-Microsoft email account addresses.
Just FYI, here are some of the details of what you will be asked on the chat box at: https://support.microsoft.com/getsupport/hostpage.aspx?oaspworkflow=start_1.0.0.0&wfname=msa&pesid=10123&locale=en-us&wf=0&ccsid=635358515652552721

I just said Other and Other in response to the chat questions above because I wanted to have the chat person understand that we would be discussing a new and difficult problem.
I completely agree with you that it is very difficult to get support for issues like this one, and I'm sorry that I do not have an email address for support as you requested. Hopefully you do have the ability to do the Chat option.
Good luck!
