I not hearing any sounds from my computer even if i play a song on VLC, Not even startup sound.

I have tried to troubleshoot sound, Updated to latest drivers from intel (realtec).

I have tried everything i have started services "Start" from services option in windows audio.

I have attached a snap shot of my device manager here

When i just ran a "troubleshooter"

I got this "Hardware changes might not been affected"

My system specs are : intel i3 processor

Ram 4gb

    Hi,

This issue might occur if the audio drive is corrupt or not working properly.

I would suggest you to uninstall the audio driver and then scan for hardware changes that will reinstall the driver for the audio card. Follow the methods listed below:

    Method 1:

Follow the steps to uninstall the Realtek audio driver and then reinstall the driver:

    • Press Windows+R keys and type “devmgmt.msc”.
    • Expand the Sound, game and video controllers. Right Click on the audio driver and select Uninstall.
    • Click on Scan for hardware changes icon on the top of the window. Check if it fixes the issue. If not, restart the laptop and the device drivers will be reinstalled automatically.

If the issue still persists, proceed to the next method.

    Method 2:

Follow the suggestions from Balaji M Kundalam posted on September 16^th^, 2013:

You may also review if this is the version of audio driver that you have installed on the computer:
