To remove AdwCleaner open the application (adwcleaner.exe) and click on the Uninstall button.
How do I get rid of Adwcleaner
I've used Adwcleaner on my system but now need to remove it at the advice of Bleeping Computers. They say it's on my system. My system says it's not, even though I just installed it on there again.
I try to delete the txt files found when doing a search in Explorer but they will not delete. I have found a directory called Adwcleaner but am wondering if I should delete that with its sub directories. Please advise.

2014-06-21T18:46:10+00:00 Thanks for the help. I was told to uninstall it but there is no doubt you are dead on in your answer. Also, I notice that Adwcleaner is in my director. It has a couple subdirectores. Is it safe to delete those? Also, I'm finding it impossible to delete the adwcleaner txt files. Is there a proper way to get rid of those?

If you need it again download a new updated copy from: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

2014-06-21T19:20:30+00:00 Was right in front of me and didn't see it. Thanks so much for this!!! I had deleted the directory & sub directories before I got your reply. I went into the Recycle Bin and retrieved the Adwcleaner.exe and clicked on it.
I then hit the uninstall, so what it did I'm not sure but it did disappear. :-)

I assume they want you to do this because the definitions are included in the download and that version will become outdated and won't run incase you need it again.
