; Realtek Semiconductor; 1, 0, 0, 485 that came up in color red on a anti-hijack scan of my files; I found a troubled history with this company's products and I want to know if I need to download new audio drivers and uninstall this or is it safe to update this company's driver?

If I need to replace this, what audio do you suggest? I do not know if Reatek Audio Manager is the hardware sound card or a digital audio driver

I have a windows 7 I think a 64 bit but not sure.

I've never heard of a 'troubled history' with Realtek driver software.

Realtek software is completely safe, assuming you download the software from the Realtek site,

or you motherboard mfg's site, which is the better option as the

motherboard mfg sometimes make modifications to suit their hardware.

The same applies even more so with OEM PC mfg's (DELL, HP, etc.) if you are using one of these PC's.

"Audio drivers available for download from the Realtek website are general drivers for our audio ICs, and may not offer the customizations made by your system/motherboard manufacturer. To be sure you obtain the full features/customizations provided in your original audio product, please download the latest drivers from your system/motherboard manufacturer's website."

I went to the company's page and went to the HD Codec as you suggested and can not find any upgrade or update the download driver file

I think the audio manager is only installed when you download the full executable file, as opposed to just the audio driver package.

If you were looking for something that says "audio manager, your are not going to find it.
