I have several processes running on my laptop, Vista Home, and I use McAfee AV software.  Are these processes, 14brmon, and 39brmon.exe supposed to be on my computer?  If not, how do I get rid of them?  Or are thse harmless?  I have not received any errors due to these, that I am aware of, but not sure.

    Hi,

    1. Are you facing any issues with the computer?
    2. Were there any changes made on the computer prior to the issue?

The processes are developed by a third party program or software which you might have installed recently.

I would suggest you to run Microsoft Safety Scanner to remove viruses, spyware, and other malicious software:

    http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To rerun a scan with the latest anti-malware definitions, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

Let us know if you need further assistance. If you have any further issues on the computer, please post your question regarding Windows and we will be happy to help you.
