    Hi,

I would suggest you to run SFC. The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions. When the scan is complete, the System File Checker tool indicates whether integrity violations were found. If integrity violations are found, the System File Checker tool lets you fix the integrity violations. Refer to the following article to know how to do this.

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

    Hope this helps.

My registry does not match your instructions exactly.

I do not have 'CurrentControl', I do have CurrentContolSet and ControlSet001.

I followed each down to the ImagePath item but my values matched the value you listed exactly.

So -- no changes were made.

    ??

    Hi,

First, I would suggest you to logon to the computer as administrator and then try the following steps.

    a. Press Windows key + R to open run Window.

    b. Type ‘regedit’ and press OK.

    c. Navigate to the following registry key: HKLM\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControl\services\TapiSrvd. Now in the right pane right-click on ImagePath and select Modify. Here in the Value data box, make sure that the value is:

%SystemRoot%\System32\svchost.exe -k NetworkServicee**.** Click OK and exit.

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article:Back up the registry in Windows 7

    Hope this helps.

I ran the w32tm /resync    command and got the message:

"Sending resync command to local computer

The computer did not resync because no time data was available"

    Hi John,

I would suggest you to resync the Windows time service and see if that helps.

    a. Right click on the start button and select Command prompt (Admin).

    b. Type w32tm /resync, and then press ENTER

    Check whether it is corrected

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other issues with Windows in future.
