These actions do not solve problem with HP ENVY TouchSmart m6-k015dx Sleekbook support at HP has no answers. The problem lies in the windows PnP monitor driver dated from 2006. Is there not a newer PNP driver this is 8 years later and not a standard monitor but windows insists its the most up to date and it insists on using it.

2014-04-30T10:35:14+00:00 Hi Kerri,
Usually the “use your finger as an input device” check box would be available in all touch screen enabled computers. In this case, there could be a driver issue for the touch screen and that’s why some options
might not be available in control panel. Let’s try these steps and check if the issue gets resolved.
Update driver
I would suggest you to download the updated Windows 8 touchscreen display driver from the manufacturer’s website and install it and check.

2014-03-15T18:16:47+00:00 I need some help. I have a new HP Envy, and the touchscreen (after about 4 weeks) no longer works. I have tried all kinds of fixes, according to this post, but I cannot get anywhere with any of them. I have tried rebooting, doing a system restore, checking the settings, etc. And nothing has worked.
sometimes it works for a little bit (one or two touches) and then it quits again. In the control panel, there is no button that says "use finger as input device." This is very, very frustrating. One expects a brand new computer and its programs to work.
