W7 64bit HP TouchSmart 520 1010uk

I keep getting a Microsoft notice about updating the driver for the above device.

I allow the Microsoft update to run and it always fails.

I am not even sure that my PC has infra red capability!

I have tried uninstalling and disabling and the notice keeps re-appearing.

    Hello Graham,

    1. What exactly happens when you try to perform Windows Update?
    2. Did you try to install the drivers for the Infrared transceiver from the manufacturer's website?

    Based on my research, HP offers drivers for ITE Infrared trans receiver on its official website.

    I would recommend that you download and install the ITE Infrared Transceiver drivers for the HP Touch Smart 520 laptop from the link provided below.
