- What is the complete error message you get on restart?
- What is the error code you get when downloading MacAfee?
- Did you able to download the other files on the computer?
- Did make any software or hardware changes prior to the issue?
Method 1 Run virus scan and check for any virus issue on the computer.
Run Microsoft Security Scanner as there can be possible virus on the computer

Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.
Method 2 If you are able to open command prompt as administrator then try to run sfc /scannow on the computer.
SFC tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of the system files by using the correct versions.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
Some commands that you can run using Command Prompt might require elevated or administrative permissions. To run these commands, you can use the Run as administrator command.
- Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.)
- Enter CMD in the search box, and then right-click or press and hold Command Prompt.
- Tap or click Run as administrator and type the command given below and press enter.
sfc /scannow

Method 3
Step 1: Try booting your computer in the safe mode and check for the startup error.

Step 2: If the system works fine in the safe mode, try to clean boot the system:
