not recent used commands, but deleted files' list on my desktop.

for example, when i type the letter "c" on run command, it pops up everything i have saved on the desktop!

    Hello Kevin,

Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft Community Forum.

Windows saves a history of the file names, programs, and locations you type in the Run dialog box. You can delete this history, which you might want to do if you're using a shared or public computer.

Follow the steps to remove run box history.

It shows as in category view of control panel.

    1. Open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Taskbar and Start Menu.
    2. Click the Start Menu tab, and then, under Privacy, clear the check box in front of Store and display a list of recently opened programs in the start menu.
    3. Apply the changes and select OK.

Hope this information is helpful. Please do let us know if you need further assistance, we’ll be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.
