    Hi Tamara,

For a better understanding of the issue, I would need more information from your end.

    1. What is the make and model of the computer?
    2. When exactly you get this error message?

Error code 39 indicates Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. To resolve the issue, I would suggest you to download and install latest Bluetooth driver from the manufacturer website.

If Windows 8 drivers are not available, I would suggest you to install the driver in compatibility mode.

To install the Bluetooth driver in compatibility mode, I would suggest you to follow these steps.

    a. Download the latest Bluetooth driver for Windows 7 from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

    b. Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

    c. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

    d. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select Windows 7 from the drop down list.

    e. Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

Hope this information helps. Reply to the post with updated status of the issue to assist you further.

Hi, Geethu & thank you for your reply!

My computer is an HP Pavilion g7 Notebook PC

My operating system is Windows 8 64-bit

I started getting this error after I made the mistake of performing the VERY MISLEADING system refresh. I have had NOTHING but problems since then.

    I looked up Ralink via Google & was taken to a Media Tek website announcement which offered a button to click to download drivers. I found part# **PCIe (RT2790/ RT309X/ RT35X2/ RT539X/ RT3290/ MT7630)** version V5.0.46.0 dated 04/15/2014 for OS Windows Win7 32/64 Win8 32/64 Win8.1 32/64.

I downloaded, saved, unzipped, and ran it BUT it didn't seem to help...

I am at a loss as to what to do. This is NOT my only problem. I am missing other drivers since performing the refresh that was supposed to help my situation. I am worse off NOW than I was before.

I have been told I should back everything up & do a restore then install Windows 7 instead of 8 because Windows 8 doesn't work well on laptops. At this point, I don't know what to do. I am an online student & don't have the money to take my laptop to be serviced. I'm very frustrated with this situation so ANY help it MUCH appreciated!!!

    Thank you!!!
