Was the computer reading the pictures before? If YES, did you make any significant hardware or software changes to the computer prior to this issue?
There is a possibility that the folder on the card that contains the pictures may be hidden. You might need to show hidden files and folders as detailed below.
- Open Windows explorer.
- Click on View in the toolbar above.
- Click on Options.
- In the Folder Options window, go to the View tab.
- Under Hidden files and folders, click the radio button for Show hidden files, folders and drives.
- Click OK.
Try inserting the SD card and browse the files. Check if the issue persists.
Another reason could be some third party software conflict that is rendering the folder empty. So, you may try booting your system in a selective startup to figure out and eliminate the program that is causing the issue and check if you are able to browse your pictures.
