How to Lock windows on closing the laptop lid

Hi everyone! I want to know is there anyway to lock my windows when i close the lid, i see sleep, shutdown, etc in "power options" but no lock,

    Don't understand why this request is so difficult to understand and the answers so miss the point..  When we close the lid, we want to ONLY LOCK it.  We do NOT want it to sleep, hibernate, or do anything else.  Just LOCK.  Period.

    This obviously should be a built it option, but for some strange reason or oversight it is not.  The function is needed so that one can leave the pc while it is executing a program and have it continue uninterrupted, but AUTOMATICALLY lock the pc when the lid is closed.

    it may sound weird but this is the thing I am trying to avoid, pressing ctrl + L everytime you leave the your system

    Hi,

    Before closing the lid, press Windows key + L to lock the screen. This is the other simple alternative.
