    @ in the sticks,

    Thank you for bringing it to our attention.  I've merged all three threads.

    @jidaungill,

    What you can do providing your hard drive is large enough is dual boot Windows XP with Windows 7.

    http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_windows_xp_and_windows_7_xp_installed_first.htm

    When referring to Windows XP 2007 Professional are you saying you installed Microsoft Office 2007 on Windows XP Professional system?

    Windows 7 drivers are for Windows 7 units.  Windows XP is an older platform and as in the sticks statedyou may end up messing up your system.  You can however install a Windows XP driver to Windows 7 using compatibility mode.  Windows XP Mode and Microsoft Virtual PC from Microsoft.com are provided free on a Windows 7

    Windows Virtual PC supports the following Host and Guest Operating systems:

    • Host: Windows 7 Home Basic, Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 7 Enterprise.
    • Guest: Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) Professional, Windows Vista Enterprise Service Pack 1 (SP1), Windows Vista Ultimate Service Pack 1 (SP1), Windows Vista Business Service Pack 1 (SP1), Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 7 Enterprise.

    Note: Virtual application feature not supported on Windows Vista Business Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows 7 Professional edition.

    A lot of older hardware and software that worked with Microsoft Windows XP will no longer function under Windows 7 because of some fundamental changes to the Windows operating system. Although many manufacturers have released updated drivers, some have failed to update their software for compatibility with Windows 7.

    @jidaungill

    Like I said before I do not know what you mean by "window xp 2007 sp2". Is there some mixed up year numbering with regard to Office? Regardless, you must use XP drivers for the XP operating system. If you use drivers for other operating systems the best you can hope for is that they refuse to install. The worst case is that they will render XP unbootable if they do install.

    Not sure what "window xp 2007 professional" is.

    Nor am I sure "what window gold 2015" drivers are either - we are still in the year 2014 here in the UK :).

    What I can say is that Skype needs SP3 - see https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10328/what-are-the-system-requirements-for-skype

    Not a "frigged" SP3 - a real SP3 - get it here http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/confirmation.aspx?id=24 and install it.

     Then try installing Skype again.

    Hi,

    What is the make/model of your computer?

    To locate drivers for the system go to the Manufacturer's website and look for updated drivers

    You might also try opening Device Manager

    Start from the beginning of the list and work your way through all of the devices listed

    Click the + Next to Each Component

    Right click on the driver that appears and select Update

    Another option - Search Microsoft's Update Catalog for drivers

    http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx
