    Thanks for you replay.

I am not able to boot the computer to normal mode but i can boot in recovery mode(which is recommended option).

    The commands that i used is;

In recovery mode i opened Command Prompt, there i opened DISKPART, list volumethen  select volume 1(Which is Drive C on my computer) extend.

There after this message appeared "There is not usable free space on the specified disk(s) to extend the volume"

I even tried to open the Drive C on Command Prompt but still that massage appears. And when i type DISKPARTand list  disk Drive C is not on the list, but when type list volume it is on the list with RAW file system.

You need to remove the hard drive, connect it to another computer as a slave, recover whatever data you can, preferably before you make things worse than they already are.

The situation is that the file system on the drive has been corrupted. You may be able to get data from it using Recuva or similar. After recovering as much as is ever able to be recovered, you will have to start over, installing Windows and all of your programs, none of which will be saved by any recovery program.

Note: In future, never let a drive become so full that it is unworkable, and if you must mess with partitions, use a 3rd party partition manager for the job..

Aomei is a good one, easy to understand and free to download and use..

    Hello Steven,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you have issues with the error prompt  "*There is not usable free space on the specified disk(s) to extend the volume".*We are glad to help you in fixing the issue.

I would need some more information on this issue to help you better.

    1. what commands were run in the Command Prompt?

    2) Are you able to boot the computer to normal mode?

In the meanwhile, please follow the suggestions mentioned below to fix the issue.

Try running check disk. Follow the steps mentioned below to do the same. Also, check if C: drive shows as NTFS or RAW while, check disk is running.

    a) Click Start, type cmd, right click on cmd and click R un As Administrator.

    b) On the prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and hit enter.

    c) Try to check the result.

For more information on "Check a drive for errors" check this link:

Important: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.
