I knew how to create a power plan.
I made pretty clear what I need, I think.

Hello,
I'm using surface pro, plus type cover 2. Is there a way add an option "turn off the display" to "Lid close action"? (and "Power button action")
In the "Advanced settings" of "Power Options", there's only "do nothing" "Sleep" "Hibernate" "Shut down". Which I only need close the screen a while, I need it keep running. If I chose "Do nothing", then when I close the lid or use the power button, It's really do nothing. the screen keeps lighting...
Thank you:)

So it is a flaw by design.
Still, I hope you can add this in the future, Could you please pass this request to those people who make updates?
Thank you!
Pardon, what I want is prevent it goes to sleep, neither I want it really "do nothing".
Normally, laptops will "turn of the display" when the lid closed, although the setting is "do nothing".
But my surface pro won't. It will keeps the screen on.
Since the system knows it when I close the lid, why not give one more choice which could keep system running without keeping the screen uselessly on?
(When I closed the lid, what's the point of the screen keeps on? Waste power for no reason... )
Hi
I have the same issue here but on a Lenovo Yoga Book with windows 10 pro.
I have followed the steps described here but without success.
May I know if you found a solution to the problem?
Thank you.
With esteem,
David Bocra.
