NOKIA Lumia 630: Phone screen is locked and can't unlock due to hang Problem - "Try Again in 124363 minutes"

Hi all,

I have Nokia Lumia 630 phone which is some how giving trouble.

Initially, due to some circumstances multiple wrong password entered for screen lock. After certain attempts as usual Windows Phone gave error/ warning and mentioned "Try Again after 1 minute". When phone went in this situation just after few seconds it went in HUNG state and which I noticed almost 10-15 minutes later.

Even restart functionality was not working, it forced me to remove and restore the battery to restart the phone. The phone started properly however it is not saying that**"Try Again in 124363 minutes"**.

I tried erasing the phone from web but there is no luck.

I will really appriciate for any help to solve this problem.

    Hi marakulkarni,

    Thank you for posting on the forum.

    I understand that your phone Nokia Lumia 930 is locked due to issue with lock screen password.

    The only thing what you can do tight now is hard reset your phone with buttons (due to security settings), then set it up again with your Microsoft account. Unfortunately it will wipe all information from the phone.

    Here you can find steps how to do hard reset with phone buttons:

    1. Switch off your phone, and disconnect the charger.
    2. Press and hold the volume down key, and connect the charger. If an exclamation mark (!) is shown on the screen, release the volume down key.
    3. Then press the volume and power keys in the following order: volume up, volume down, power, and volume down.
    4. Wait for your phone to reset, during the reset you will see gears rotating on the screen for up to 5 minutes, after which the screen goes blank for ~30 seconds and then your phone will restart.
    5. Go through the initial phone setup. Make sure that you have the date and time set correctly on your phone (Settings > date+time).
    6. Disconnect the charger.

    my lumia 630 was lock, some one try inserting my password and it show me minute it will open but i try it manually and reset it but i lost every thing and now my hotmail pass word is gone please how do i retrieve back my password urgent reply needed thanks

    My phone has did that once.You just take out your battery at the back,put it back in and open your phone again.

    Hi all,

    my wife has Nokia Lumia 630 and it went off then '' try again in 340618 minutes'' . 

    after a day she mentioned the problem and after many hours of trying to unlock 

    it didn't work. 

    Thanks for the solution. The only bad about it is that you lose all your data that have.

    that is everything on your phone memory. app's, photos, music, games, videos, 

    contacts or simply that in stored to phone memory are lost.

    I think Nokia should get a better way of recovering this issue or at least let not 

    go beyond a day in minutes for it to open itself without any loss.
