Adobe Photoshop CS6 & Windows 8.1

I have been using windows 8 and CS6 for over a year now with no issues.  I updated my windows to 8.1 and now have issues with CS6.  1.  It is running much slower, 2.  While working in PS I get flickering and the background changing to the checker board or the whole image blacks out.  Can anyone help with this issue?

Thanks,

    Hi,

What is the make and model of the graphics card?

I would suggest you to update the drivers for the graphic card from the device manager and see if that helps.

    a.      Press Windows key+X and select Device Manager.

    b.      Search for Display Adapters and expand it.

    c.       Right click on the graphic card driver and select **Update driver software.**If the issue still persists, then I would suggest you to update the drivers from the manufacturers website.

Post us the results after you try the above steps.

This is only in Photoshop? I would make sure the graphics card is updated. And reinstall PS. If that doesn't work you can try an older graphics driver.
