    Hi Varun,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. As I understand that you are not able to connect to Internet using Tata Photon dongle. Let us work together as a team and try to get this issue fixed.

Please assist me with the following information related to this issue:

    1. Have you installed the required software on your computer that came with Tata Photon?
    2. Do you see any exclamation mark or error in Device Manager when you connect Tata Photon dongle? Refer the steps to check:
    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Select Device Manager.
    • Check if there is any exclamation mark or error under Tata Photon.

This issue could occur if the device drivers are not getting detected or due to missing/corrupt device drivers.

Please follow the methods mentioned below:

Method 1: Run the Hardware Troubleshooter

The Hardware Troubleshooter is an automated tool which checks the hardware connected to the computer for any known issues and provides the details on how to fix them. Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter.

    1. Press Windows key + W on the keyboard.
    2. Type Troubleshooting in the search bar and press Enter.
    3. In the Troubleshooting window, click on View All on the left pane.
    4. Click on Hardware and Devices.
    5. Right click on Hardware and Devices and then select Run as Administrator.
    6. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.

If the troubleshooter was unable to find and fix the issue, I would suggest you to try the next method and check.

    Method 2:

**Note:**Make sure that the Tata Photon dongle is plugged in.

**Step 1:**You may try to uninstall and reinstall the Tata Photon drivers and check. Follow the steps:

    1. Press Windows key + X on the desktop screen.
    2. Select Device Manager.
    3. Expand Network adapter and right-click on driver and select Un-install.
    4. Restart the computer.
    5. Windows will automatically load the drivers.

    Step 2:

You may also try running the Windows Updates and install all the available updates including the optional driver and firmware updates.

    **Windows Update: Frequently Asked Questions**

You may also get in touch with **Tata Support** and check for driver updates for Windows 8.

Please reply us on the status of the issue to assist you further.
