We do need the actual log file (called a DMP file) as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

We prefer at least 2 DMP files to spot trends and confirm the cause.

Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found here

If you have any questions about the procedure please ask

If you are using Blue screen view, who crashed, or a similar application, don't.  They are wrong at least as often as they are correct

    Thank you.

But, whichever mode I access, I am getting only the follwoing options.

All I can see is "Launch Startup Repair (recommended)" and "Start Windows Normally"

When I select the first option, startup repair starts and ends up with "Startu repair cannot repair this computer automatically".

You can see the following photos.

This happens continuously. Now, what should I do to solve the problem?

Your data should be safe as long as you repair the correct partition. If you only have one OS you neednt worry and yes you can do this from USB if you make it bootible.

You should have told us that in the first post.

Did you boot from the win 7 dvd and initiate the repair or did you do it from the start menu?  You need to boot from the dvd and do a repair instal from there.

No, I haven't booted from the Windows 7 DVD and haven't performed such repair. I'll do it now. But, I need to know if the data in the E,F,G Drives will be safe.

Also, can I do this through USB installation?
