Windows 8.1 limited connection. Default gateway not available. Wi-fi doesn't have valid IP configuration.

The wi-fi in my Dell XPS L502X laptop was working perfectly well until last two weeks. I am facing these two problems:

1) Default gateway not available.

2) Wi-fi doesn't have valid IP configuration.

Sometimes the first problem comes up and rest of the times another. But i face these problems constantly after every 5-10 mins and the connection keeps on dropping. Then I have to troubleshoot this problem.

I have windows 8.1 installed in my laptop. I have already tried these fixes:

  1. Turning on and off the wifi (it works for about 5 - 20 minutes).
  2. I have unchecked the box that allows the computer to turn it off under power management.
  3. I have used the command line ipconfig /flushdns
  4. I have uninstalled my wireless driver and installed it again.
  5. Also i have updated my driver to latest version

Here is my ipconfig/all

Is 192.168.1.2 reserved in your router. Did you set up a static IP for ipv4 in your network adapter settings?

Hit Windows Key and the S key find and open **Network and Sharing Center -->**click on change adapter settings in the left pane --> double click on on Wifi --> click Configure --> double click on IPv4 which should be toward/at the bottom. See if it is set to use manual config or auto. For now change to auto if it isn't selected and see if it works. You can do the same for IPv6.

192.168.1.2 seems a little low for DHCP usually routers hand out the last set of the ip values starting at 10 or so but it varies.

    Both are already auto.
